I’ve always been drawn to words. From as far back as I can remember, I devoured everything I could get my hands on–from Harry Potter to the backs of cereal boxes. Roald Dahl’s Matilda felt like my fictional double. I can still remember reading works like Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events way past my bedtime, thinking, “I want to write stories when I grow up.”

That dream soon got boxed up and hidden away as I aged, and the concept of “real-life” (because childhood is, what, fake-life?) drove me to pursue more “practical” career choices. Now, I’m determined to do what I love. And, hopefully, make money doing it.

I like my stories smart, dark, and a little larger-than-life. This blog will track my journey in trying to create more of the kinds of stories I love. Enjoy.
